    I started with the sport at a young age, playing for a variety of clubs in Edmonton. I was part of both my high school’s soccer academy and soccer team and have been coaching girls’ soccer since 2017.

    Previous Soccer Experience
    I began playing soccer at the age of 4 and had to stop playing in my mid-teens due to injuries, but I stayed involved in the game through my involvement in Jasper Place High School’s Soccer Academy. I began coaching with the Edmonton West Raiders in the Spring of 2017, where I developed a newfound passion for the coaching side of the game.

    I have coached organized sports for the past 27 years. I started with baseball and basketball taking my 1995 girls fast pitch team to the national championship. I began coaching soccer in 1997 and have coached in community and club. I have taken two teams from U6 to U18 and am currently working on my third group..

    I played youth soccer in community as well as hockey growing up. I come from a background in soccer as my father played with Newcastle United system before immigrating to Canada in the late 1950’s. As a youth I was exposed to a lot of soccer.

    What year did you join Warriors as a coach?
    I am a first year Warriors coach (2018) but in my tenth season as a club coach coming from the Raiders program. I served also as  Director of the Raiders for five seasons and  currently serve as a Director of the EMSA west board

    Previous soccer experience.
    As a child/youth played competitively including Jr. High and High School at St. Francis Xavier. As an adult I have played recreationally and continue to do so on a weekly basis.  I have been coaching community teams since my oldest daughter started playing in 2007.  Lately I have been involved with coaching my youngest daughter’s team, the Lewis Estates Panthers.  Our team has been very successful winning cities, inter-cities, and Provincials in March 2016.  Last season I had the opportunity and honor to coach the West Raiders U14G team, we reached Provincials and came 5th out of 12 teams.

    What year did you join Warriors as a coach?
    This is my first year (2018) with the Warriors and I am extremely excited about the opportunity and will do my best to make sure our team is successful on and off the pitch

    Previous soccer experience.
    I played soccer from age 5 to present (35 years and counting). Played for several Saskatchewan Provincial Championship teams from 1989-92. Played in the Saskatchewan summer games in 1992 placed third. I was a soccer referee in Saskatchewan as a teenager. I have been coaching kids at the community and club level since 2011. This is my third season coaching club in Alberta.

    I have been playing soccer since the age of five and it was a huge part of my childhood on various youth teams and my high school academy. My family has been involved with the Raiders since 2014, and I have been coaching club soccer starting with the Raiders in 2017 before joining the Warriors. I also coach a U13 girls community team. It has been a great experience to give back to the soccer community and share my passion for the game that I grew up loving.
